CSNTM’s research team is ending out on an eventful Summer of expeditions and ongoing projects! Throughout their trips to Germany, New Orleans, and the United Kingdom, the CSNTM research team made extensive progress on several ongoing projects, which they will continue working on when they return to these locations. In addition to these advances, Dr.Continue reading Expedition Update: Summer 2023
Carrying on the Legacy
In the early years, CSNTM operations involved three to four people traveling for two to three weeks in the summer. The small group would visit a site with manuscripts to either examine or, after securing permission, photograph them. These expeditions relied on both, securing difficult-to-earn permission and raising the necessary funds for equipment and travel.Continue reading Carrying on the Legacy
Celebrating Twenty Years of Digitally Preserving New Testament Manuscripts
When you find high-tech cameras, facsimiles, and cake in a banquet room, you know that CSNTM is celebrating with friends. CSNTM From 2002 to 2022

By: Laura Peisker Bandy Decades of sore muscles, negotiating with fragile manuscripts to frame the perfect shot, and hours of post-processing are almost history! Elijah Hixson, Mark Gaither, Laura Bandy, and CSNTM volunteer Jason Pedersen, a doctoral candidate at Dallas Theological Seminary, met in New York City this month for training on Digital Transition’s DTContinue reading Headaches Almost Extinct: CSNTM Trains in New York City on State-of-the-Art Equipment
Expedition: Museum of the Bible
Your matched gift can preserve more Greek New Testament manuscripts. It’s been a very long eighteen months for everyone, and no less so for CSNTM. We used the time wisely, however. During the pandemic shutdown, we carefully evaluated and improved our infrastructure, processes, equipment, and training. We wanted to be sure that when theContinue reading Expedition: Museum of the Bible
