At CSNTM, we are dedicated to ensuring that the New Testament you read most accurately reflects the original words of the apostles and early witnesses of Jesus Christ. In support of this mission, we promote and train promising textual scholars through our internship program!
This year, these exceptional interns will undergo rigorous training in New Testament textual criticism. They will engage in reading seminars, critical text assignments, and personal research, all under the guidance of the CSNTM Research Team. Our Interns play a vital role in CSNTM’s mission to preserve, share, and study Greek New Testament manuscripts, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to mentor, inspire, and work alongside each of these students!
Jim Wilkerson
My name is Jim Wilkerson. I live in Dallas, TX, with my wife and daughter and am pursuing a master’s in theology (Th.M.) at Dallas Theological Seminary. My area of concentration is the New Testament with an emphasis on historical criticism. God has provided avenues like CSNTM to help me expand my critical horizons and deepen my understanding of the reception of the gospel across the centuries. I am extremely privileged to work with internationally respected scholars at CSNTM such as Denis Salgado and Dan Wallace who will guide me in this academic journey.

I am a student of linguistics and translation. I hope that my time at CSNTM will give me greater skill in studying, translating, and explaining the rich Greek manuscript tradition to those around the world and future generations.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in New Testament. After taking a couple of introductory courses on the origins of the Bible and being introduced to manuscripts and textual criticism, my interest and desire to learn more grew. I am pursuing this training with hopes of teaching at college level. I am thankful for the opportunity to study and conduct research on a Greek New Testament manuscript through CSNTM!
Why are we hiding the identities of two of our interns?
At CSNTM, we’re not just training students. We’re investing in the next generation of scholars, pastors, translators, missionaries, and more.
For some of our interns, future work may involve closed countries, sensitive environments, or security concerns. To help protect their opportunities to study, teach, translate, and serve the church, we’ve intentionally concealed their identities.
We’re incredibly grateful for these promising scholars and proud to invest in students who are preparing to make a lasting impact on biblical scholarship and the church, sometimes in ways the world may never see.
