Expedition: Lambeth Palace Library

After six weeks “across the pond,” the CSNTM team returned home with images of more than two dozen Greek New Testament manuscripts and news of a successful expedition. The work of digitization can be taxing, requiring long days of intentional focus on small details. Still, the buzz from our first international expedition since 2019 hung in the air as the team shared about the Greek New Testaments that they digitized in London. While turning page after page can grow dull, moments of marvel at the history of the books in front of them captured the team in their work. Hear more from the Lambeth expedition team in the video below.

The equipment and process updates that CSNTM acquired during pandemic restrictions proved incredibly beneficial. Our team now continues to work through each image to prepare it for the digital collection. We look forward to sharing these beautiful treasures with all.

Thank you, Lambeth Palace Library conservators, staff, and facilities. We are grateful to partner with you to preserve the precious artifacts in your collection and make them available.

And thank you to our community of supporters. Your work allows us all to enjoy and pass on the pages of the New Testament read centuries ago. You have provided the future generations with the texts passed on to us. Thank you.
